Survivor’s Healing Sanctuary (S.H.S.) was founded in 2021 by Shinece Carr. After working with sexual assault survivors for over a decade, Shinece recognized that this population often has needs that extend beyond the support provided by existing community resources. Throughout 2021, she worked diligently to establish S.H.S. with a mission to prioritize the safety and stability of survivors. The organization is funded through donations and small community grants, enabling us to strengthen and enhance the services already available to those we serve.
